| CULTIVATION |
|
in a nursery usually shaded and daily irrigation is given to ensure uniform stand It is a medium size evergreen tree indigenous to Indonesia. The seeds are sown at a spacing of 2-3 cm and a depth of 2 cm. The germination commencing within two weeks lasts for about six weeks. About 3 months after germination, the seedlings are transplanted to polythene bags containing a mixture of soil, well-decomposed cow dung and bone meal and kept. The 18-24 month old seedlings are then transplanted to the main field. |
