| CULTIVATION |
|
Healthy seeds are used for cultivation of belladonna plant. Seeds are sown by broadcasting method on beds well prepared with the application of fungicide. Sowing is completed in the month of May to June and the seedlings are ready for transplantation in the end of September to October by maintaining distance between two plants. Fertilizers like urea, potash and superphosphate are used if necessary. At the maturity of plant insecticides are sprayed. Leaves and flowering tops are collected and dried in shade. Care should be taken at the time of drying to maintain green color of the plant. |
