A decoction of the bark taken in doses of 15 to 30 grams may relieve patients of diarrhoea or dysentery.
Cure for Diarrhoea-Dysentery using Bael Fruit (3/10)
The unripe or half-ripe fruit is perhaps the most effective remedy for chronic diarrhoea and dysentery where there is no fever. Best results are obtained by the use of dried bael or its powder. The bael fruit, when it is still green, is sliced and dried in the sun. The dried bael slices are powdered and preserved in airtight bottles. The unripe bael can also be baked and used with jaggery or brown sugar.
Cure for Diarrhoea-Dysentery using Banyan (2/10)
The leaf buds of the banyan tree are beneficial in the treatment of chronic diarrhoea and dysentery. The buds should be soaked in water' overnight and taken as infusion in the treatment of these diseases. The latex is also useful in the treatment of diarrhoea and dysentery.
Cure for Diarrhoea-Dysentery using Chebulic Myroblan (1/10)
This herb is also an effective remedy for chronic diarrhoea and dysentery. Four grams of the pulp of the unripe fruit is given with honey and aromatics such as clove and cinnamon twice a day in the treatment of these diseases.

Dill seeds yield a very powerful carminative oil. When these are sauted in ghee with fenugreek seeds in equal numbers, they will serve a specific medicine for diarrhoea and acute bacillary dysentery. For optimum results, roasted seeds are powdered and mixed with curd or buttermilk.

A drink made from amla, mixed with lemon juice and misri that is, sugar candy---controls acute bacillary dysentery.
